Home Care Worker – Various locations
Responsibilities
- Providing personal care: bathing, washing, showering and preparing meals within a client’s own home.
- Prompt medication and support clients to access the community i.e shopping and social activities
- Provide social support within the home any given time of the day (live in care included)
- Take responsibility of the shift while on duty
- Liaise with other professional staff in carrying out care plans
Essential Information
- Preferably should have a background experience in social care however we provide extensive training.
- Holds an SVQ2, HNC in Health and social care, or is working towards the qualification, qualification or equivalent.
- Good verbal and written communication in English
- A full UK driving licence and car are essential.
- Proof of right to work in the UK.
- Successful applicants will be required to complete a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) application and also register with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) within 6 months of starting.
Tasks
Home Care workers should be able:

To look after the physical, emotional, cultural and social needs of the Clients using a person-centred approach

To observe and promote the Client’s human rights and the principles outlined in the health and social care standards
3
To evidence that care is based on dignity and respect choice, compassion wellbeing and responsive to their changing need
4
To create and maintain good professional relationships with Clients, their family and friends and the wider agencies
5
To adhere to all regulatory and statutory obligations and Potters Health Care’s policies, procedures and guideline
- Salary Range: £12.85/hr - £13.00/hr
